PAST EVENTSJune 18th, 2010Streetwaves FundraiserStreetWaves mentors and empowers high risk urban youth by teaching them the art of surfing. The educational program exposes inner city kids to the ocean, teaches them the skill of swimming, and then trains and coaches the students in surfing and stand up paddle boarding. The majesty of the sea and the mastery of surfing foster essential life-skills, cultivates courage, commitment, and self esteem, while at the same time enriching and expanding the outdoor experiences of Streetwavesʼ student participants 6-8pm at Smith and Wollensky, 1 Washington Ave, Miami Beach, FL 33139
